Synopsis
A journey to three astronomical observatories in three different continents, in search for our place in the cosmos. In remote villages nearby, astonishing humans share the same vulnerability and longing for life.
Director
Milad Tangshir was born in 1983 in Tehran, Iran. He worked for 8 years as a musician for the Iranian rock band Ahoora, releasing three albums. In 2011 he moved to Italy and started his studies in Cinema at the Turin University. Since 2012 he has made some shorts films and video essays which have been presented at various festivals and have received many awards. Among them, “Displaced” about the exodus of immigrant on the Balkan route, shot in Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. His virtual reality film “VR Free” was presented at numerous festivals including Venice International Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. In late 2019 his first feature documentary “Star Stuff” (shot in Chile, South Africa and Canary Islands) premiered at Torino Film Festival.
