On a sudden whim Goli decides to return to Iran after 20 years of living in France. She lands in Rasht, her home town, located in the north of the country. Farhad, a frame maker by trade, comes to welcome her. He seems to know her well, but the young woman has absolutely no recollection of him.
Born in 1960 in Tehran, Safi Yazdanian studied cinema in Tehran University of Art, and then in late 80’s he began his career as a film critic and essayist. He wrote and translated books on Wim Wenders and Andrei Tarkovsky, and a book of his selected essays on cinema and art is published recently-2019- in Iran under the title “An Interpretation of Solitude”. As filmmaker he began his work with making short and documentary films. His first feature was What’s the Time in Your World? (2014)
