Inspired by the life of Kian Pirfalak, Rainbow’s Tale interlaces seven stories of children confronting
forced marriage, child labor, family trauma, and lost innocence, revealing both the hidden scars of
violence and the resilience that emerges across a spectrum of pain and hope.
About the Director
Saleh Alavizadeh is an Iranian writer, playwright, and filmmaker based in Paris.
He studied Dramatic Literature and began his professional career in theatre. For
two consecutive years, Alavizadeh was Iran’s best-selling playwright, with several
of his works published and staged across the country. He later expanded his work
into cinema, writing and directing five short films. Rainbow’s Tale marks his
feature-film debut as a writer and director
